Our Commitment To Data Security
All sensitive data such as credit card information is transmitted via 128-bit SSL encryption. How can you be sure? When your browser is open to a DeepMemories.com web page that transmits personal and sensitive information (such as credit card information at checkout) your browser will display an icon such as a lock or key at the top or bottom of the browser window. The http:// in your browser’s address field changes to https:// (the s:// for “secure”) following the http is proof that you are communicating only with us and that all information is encrypted.
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, various physical, electronic, and managerial procedures safeguard and secure the information we collect online. These include data security monitoring services such as Hacker Safe hardware and software based firewalls, and secure facilities that house data.
As described above, we follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
The Information We Collect
For the purpose of completing your order we collect information such as name, address, email address, phone number, credit/debit card information, company name, tax id number, etc.
If you request that your order be shipped to another person we collect the following about that person: name, address, phone number.
Once your order is placed you may contact us by email CustomerService@DeepMemories.com or by phone (203 234-2001) to make any changes to the personal information that you provided to place your order.
Log Files
As is true of most Web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes Internet protocol (IP) addresses, Internet service provider (ISP), operating system, browser type, referring/exit Web pages, clickstream data, and date/time stamp. We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, administer the site, track users' movements around the site, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We do not link this automatically collected data to personally identifiable information.
However, IP addresses are tied to personally identifiable information only when your order is placed, but this information is not shared, sold, rented, or traded with outside parties, with the following exception: If an order, after being filled, is then claimed to not have been placed, the IP address linked to that order can be shared by us with the credit card company involved in the chargeback, and only for the purpose of proving legitimacy or fraud concerning that order.
Cookies
As is true of most Web sites, we use cookies on this site and we link them to personally identifiable information to maintain your shopping cart. Our server gives to your Web browser a cookie, which is a small text file that acts as a message. Your browser stores this message in a file called "cookie.txt". You may easily delete our cookies at any time. Cookies cannot be used to retrieve data from your hard drive, obtain your email address, or obtain sensitive information about you. If your browser is set to refuse cookies you may view our site but will be unable to complete an order. To complete an order, either allow your browser to accept cookies at least temporarily while shopping at DeepMemories.com, or place your order by phone: (203) 234-2001
We use a third-party tracking service that uses cookies to track non-personally identifiable information about visitors to our site in the aggregate to track usage and volume statistics to improve our Web site.
We use session cookies to keep your shopping cart from emptying if you leave a shopping cart page before checkout is complete. We use session cookies also to determine from what ad or Web page you navigated to our site. A session cookie expires when you close your browser. If you create an optional account, to recognize your username and password so that you can log in upon return, we use persistent cookies. Persistent cookies remain on your hard drive for an extended period of time. You can easily remove persistent cookies by following directions provided in your Internet browser's "Help" file.
